Volunteer at the Metro North Community Recycling Center and help us manage the influx of post-holiday waste. You'll get some fresh air (this is an outdoor opportunity) and work off holiday treats! Scheduling is flexible - morning and afternoon shifts are available. Shifts are available Wednesdays through Saturdays and we have a special need for volunteers on Saturday Dec 27 and Jan 3. This is a great opportunity for students on holiday break!

Volunteers assist patrons with unloading recyclables, and assist the site manager with breaking down cardboard, maintenance, and other needs.

All volunteers must register in advance.

Bridging The Gap (BTG) educates citizens, businesses and governments about the impact their decisions have on our environment. We help them follow through with direct action to make our world, region and community green, healthy and sustainable.

BTG does this by working to create awareness of our environment and the need to make our communities sustainable at every level and in all life activities -- in homes, workplaces, schools and neighborhoods. In all of our work, we seek to create partnerships among governments, businesses, community leaders and individuals to improve our community by making it healthy and sustainable for our future.
