Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA)of Santa Cruz County seeks an outgoing, personable individual to maintain the community resources that our Advocates use. This volunteer must be comfortable talking about CASA and asking local businesses for free tickets and passes, and following up with them to make sure requests are fulfilled and acknowledged. In the spring months, this volunteer will also be in charge of the summer camp list and scholarship forms for our youth.

Duties:

  1. Work with the Volunteer Coordinator and Advocates to get access to resources
  2. Maintain and keep resource list updated with current information and freebies
  3. Be proactive in maintain connections with community donors
  4. Coordinate and communicate with local businesses to procure tickets and passes
  5. Collaborate with CASA staff and volunteers

CASA of Santa Cruz County is one of 900 affiliated programs around the country dedicated to bringing a voice and a caring adult into the lives of children caught in the juvenile dependency system. CASA serves those children by continually recruiting, training and supporting adult volunteers who work one-on-one with a child as their stable friend and advocate in court. Through our volunteer pool, CASA is dedicated to monitoring, serving and expediting children's progress and needs throughout their court and foster care experiences.
