Mini Apartment Make-over
As we welcome new families we prepare their living spaces with new household items, sometimes replacing worn out furnishings.
We also "make-over" any wear and tear the apartment has received, including patching, painting, repairing and sprucing!
We need volunteer groups to take on o ne mini-makeover so that we can m ake a unit available for a family .
- Provide ongoing guidance and assessment of upcoming
maintenance issues and needs - Head a crew of Volunteers for a Maintenance Blitz
- volunteer with specific skills:
carpentry, electrical, painting, moving ( with truck)

Mission Statement
Choices Inc., provides transitiional housing and support services in a residential setting to homeless woman with children and single women that have a special need, such as mental illness, domestic violence and chemical dependency. Beyond housing and support services, Choices offer its residents a unique opportunity for developing a network reltionships, with the goal of empowering the women to obtain and maintain a healthy lifestyle and permanent housing.
Description
Choices, Inc. operates four transitional housing services for women and families
experiencing homelessness through Norma's House, the Marijane Toney House, Martie's House and single transitional housing at Muhammad Ali. The average length of stay for individuals is eight months, and one year for families, but can vary
depending on the need of each client.
