St. Martin de Porres Academy is looking for tutors to support our middle school students (5-8 grades) as they complete their homework. Our students are warm and friendly, and they see working with a tutor as a privilege. This volunteer opportunity has the potential to be so much more than homework help, and many of our current tutors have been volunteering with us for years because of the positive, meaningful relationships they formed.
Academic Hall takes place from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays. We would love to have tutors who can commit to at least one day a week.

Saint Martin de Porres Academy is a faith-based, NativityMiguel middle school that provides a tuition-free, extended day education for underserved girls and boys from low-income families in the New Haven area. We are an independent Catholic school committed to a belief in the dignity and worth of every person and striving to provide each child with a promising start in life and to equip them to fulfill their academic potential while achieving spiritual and social maturity. We welcome children of all faiths, races, and cultures.
