Many seniors today are choosing to live independently and stay in their homes for longer. But sometimes a little help is needed with everyday chores; the goal of the Chore Services Program is to help seniors and individuals with disabilities living in Washington County remain in their homes longer by connecting them with volunteers and professional service providers who can help them with chores and home projects.
One of the biggest requests from seniors this season is Gardening and Yard Clean-Up Work! We are looking for individuals who are interested in giving a few hours of their time and burning a few calories to help a senior stay safely and comfortably in their home.
As a Chore Services Volunteer, you can:
- volunteer as a family, group or individual
- create your own flexible schedule and location preferences
- help individuals stay safely in their homes
Volunteer are required to complete an application; we check references and complete a background check. An orientation and training is required.
