Do you love to be around books? Looking for a great youth group project? Need an employee team building activity?

We could use your help. Volunteer book sorters are needed for the Anchorpoint Counseling Ministry Annual Used Book Sale.

Our sorting space is located at The Arcadia Building (rear), 9400 McKnight Road (by Outback Steakhouse) and has limited space, thus only 4-8 volunteers per shift would be needed.

What is involved? Sort books into (24) categories, discard books in poor condition, box books, label boxes, and track and stack boxes as filled. Training will be provided.

Time commitment varies depending on book donations received. We allow flexibility in the schedule (days and times) that best fits your group’s needs We do ask that your group be responsible for an entire month (but we won’t turn you away if a month is not possible).

Additional requirements: Volunteers must be able to lift heavy boxes filled with books (30 lbs.), stand (while sorting) for long periods of time, and allergy free (old books may be dusty, moldy and/or dirty).

If you would like to volunteer your group or have additional questions, please call Denise Patsko at 412.366.1300.
