The Truck Driver is a key part of Catholic Charities Food Operations team. The Truck Driver operates a 20-foot box truck (Class C license required), bringing food to where it is needed. The Rural Food Truck is based out of downtown Santa Rosa, where all trips will be required to start and end. The Rural Food Project offers exciting opportunities for directly impacting the well-being of community members. As a Truck Driver, you transport food to distribution sites throughout Sonoma and Lake Counties. You’ll be delivering up to three tons of food for over hundreds of people at a time, all while travelling scenic routes!

Responsibilities:

• Following all established policies for operating the Rural Food Project box truck.

• Completing assigned tasks related to delivery.

• Picking up food from partners, including the Redwood Empire Food Bank.

• Delivering food to sites in Sebastopol, Healdsburg, Santa Rosa, Sonoma, Middletown, and Kelseyville, as well as other sites on demand.

• Driving the truck to make donation pick-ups.

• Maintaining the truck’s organization and appearance.
