Role Overview:

The American Red Cross is in need of drivers to help transport our blood products. Drivers will use a Red Cross vehicle to deliver life saving blood to and from hospitals and Red Cross facilities.

Time Commitment:

It’s Flexible! We work with your schedule. Shifts are typically scheduled in 2-6 hour blocks.

Location:

Based out of the Flint Red Cross location. 1401 S. Grand Traverse St. Flint MI 48503

Requirements:

• Valid state driver’s license
• Ability to life and move up to 50 lbs
• Must have a clean driving record

Training:

• Orientation to the American Red Cross
• On-the-job with experienced driver

Since volunteers constitute about 95 percent of the American Red Cross workforce, it is through your continuous participation and support that we are able to mobilize the world's largest humanitarian network.

About the Great Lakes Blood Services Region: We offer the community a chance to donate blood in our donor room located at the Genesee-Lapeer Chapter of the Red Cross in Flint as well as through area mobile blood drives. We also deliver blood to various locations, including hospitals that need it either on a regularly scheduled run or in emergency situations.
