Role Title: Staff Aide

Role Overview:

The American Red Cross is in need of friendly, detail-oriented Staff Aides to provide clerical support in our Volunteer Resource Center.

Tasks:

• Answer telephones and take messages.
• Communicate with volunteers and schedule them for shifts.
• Assist in preparation of mailings.
• Help with filing, light typing and data entry.

Time Commitment:

It’s Flexible! We work with your schedule. We’re looking for a minimum commitment of 4 hours a week.

Skills:

• Office Reception
• Detail-oriented
• Typing
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years old.

Background Check required.

About the Great Lakes Blood Services Region: We offer the community a chance to donate blood in our donor room located at the Genesee-Lapeer Chapter of the Red Cross in Flint as well as through area mobile blood drives. We also deliver blood to various locations, including hospitals that need it either on a regularly scheduled run or in emergency situations.
