Join our amazing team of volunteers - help empower people of all ages and incomes to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. We offer long-term and one-time opportunities. A brief volunteer orientation will help us learn more about your interests and skills and introduce you to the many opportunities available at the Whitley County community garden.

Mission Statement
Our mission here at Giving Gardens is to foster healthy communities by empowering individuals with the tools and knowledge it takes to produce optimum nutrition, starting from the ground up.
Description
Our goal is to involve local residents, schools, and businesses in the hopes of forming a more tight-knit, healthy community.
• We provide organic fruit and vegetable seedlings, free of charge, to those willing to donate a portion of what is grown, to others in need.
• We will expand our community wide composting program.
• We will provide instructional workshops on home gardening, composting, h omemade organic fertilizers, and sustainable, ecological farming.
This spring we will be establishing community gardens in the city, schools, churches, and businesses. If you interested in having a garden at your location please feel free to contact us.
