The American Lung Association is looking for volunteers to deliver cookies to local fire stations, to thank our local heroes for their service this December.

Materials for Delivery - including cookies, thank you notes, and 2017 Fight for Air Climb postcards, will be available for pickup in the ALA Office on December 14, 15, and 16th. Deliveries can be made at your and/or your group’s discretion with the help of our Volunteer Coordinator. Pick up times will need to be made between 9am - 4pm on designated dates before Fire Station’s close.

Firefighters are disproportionately affected by lung disease, including lung cancer due to their line of work. While on the job firefighters experience exposure to gases, chemicals and smoke, causing damage to their lungs.

If interested in a time outside of these dates, please let us know! We want to thank Firefighters during this holiday season for putting not only their lungs, but their lives on the line every day to keep us safe!

Mission Statement

The mission of the American Lung Association is to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease.

For more than 115 years, Americans have trusted us to protect their lungs, whether it's researching treatments and cures for lung diseases, keeping kids off tobacco, including e-cigarettes, or advocating for laws that protect the air we all breathe.

Our goals are big-defeat lung cancer, create a tobacco-free future, champion clean air for all, and improve the quality of life for those living with lung disease.
