This is a NY City or tri-state area (NY, NJ or CT) volunteer position overseeing Project HEAL’s merchandise sales

  • This position would assist the Executive Director and Accounting Coordinator to monitor and maintain the organization’s inventory for the Chapters and for National’s merchandising sales as well as monitor what funds are owed back to National for the consignment of merchandise to the Chapters
  • Responsible for gathering monthly merchandise inventory information from chapters and National to create a report about what has been sold and what hasn’t, what funds should be collected, what funds have been sent and to track chapter merchandise outstanding amounts,
  • Provide information to Accounting Coordinator for monthly reporting
  • Be responsible for sending merchandise out to chapters and website purchasers
  • Work with Executive Director and co-founder to replenishment merchandise and seek out or create new products to sell
  • Responsibilities could include working on Merchandising strategy and/or day-to-day tasks

Project HEAL is a 501(c)3 non- profit organization that provides access to healing for all people with eating disorders.

Description

Since its founding in 2008, Project HEAL has provided over 100 applicants with access to live-saving treatment for their eating disorder, established over 30 Chapters and 25 Ambassadors bringing Project HEAL's mission and values to communities across the United States, and developed partnerships with more than 30 recognized eating disorder treatment providers across the US. The primary function of Chapters is to serve as robust local recovery communities that offer resources for those affected by eating disorders and opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of those affected by eating disorders.

We are an organization with a large volunteer base and have many volunteer opportunities available year-round. We are always looking for new people who have an interest in and passion for helping others suffering from eating disorders, poor body image, and low self-esteem.
