Computer students

Computer Literacy Instructors provide basic computer instruction to a group of up to 10 adult learners. We are currently looking for instructors for a Thursday evening (7-9 pm) class. Classes begin immediately and end December 10th. Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one shift per week for the entire 8 week session. Volunteers will be provided with lesson plans and trained on how to use our materials. Prospective volunteers should experience with Windows systems, Microsoft Word, Internet Explorer, Gmail, and GoogleDrive. Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) and previous teaching/training experience are preferred. Individuals who are not bilingual may be paired with a bilingual assistant.

Manos de Cristo is a nonprofit organization committed to empowering low-income individuals by promoting dignity and self-reliance. Manos was founded in 1988, and the dental clinic opened its doors to the Austin community in 1990. Manos hosts a wide range of adult education classes; houses a food pantry, a clothes closet, and two computer labs.
