Volunteers are asked to help the Peoria Diamond Club man many different areas during the 2015 Mariners & Padres Spring Training baseball season. We are a nonprofit that gives monies back to the community youth programs. We typically need help in the parking areas, speed pitch game, ushering, etc. Volunteers work 4 hour shifts and commit to an 8 day minimum out of our roughly 30 day season. Many shifts are from 10am-2pm for day games and 3pm-7pm for night games, but do vary with the job position. Volunteers have access to any game at the Peoria Sports Complex and are offered a discounted hot lunch at the park. Typically, we have around 600 volunteers, but it takes around 150 per day to accomplish our tasks. Regardless if you're a baseball fan, the park is a fun atmosphere in which to work. And, we are giving back to the youth of the community. There is great satisfaction in knowing that! Come out, make friends and help a worthy cause! You won't regret it!

About Peoria Diamond Club

Location:

Mission Statement

Our mission is to raise funds for NW Valley youth charities and organizations through extensive volunteer efforts. The PDC and its members are dedicated to supporting the many wonderful community programs that educate and enrich our children's lives while enhancing their futures.

Description

The Peoria Diamond Club was established in 1993 in response to the desire of the Seattle Mariners, the San Diego Padres, and City of Peoria to partner with a non-profit organization in the operation of Spring Training. In exchange for providing the necessary workforce, the PDC shares in revenues generated through a variety of functions. These revenues are then redistributed to local community youth organizations though a grant program.
