Help us open up the world of books and play to preschoolers! We're looking for a Story Time Assistant at the Scotts Valley Library on Tuesday mornings from 10:45am - 12:15pm.

For preschoolers and their parents/caregivers, storytime sessions at the local library are an introduction into the magical world of books, a fun way to strengthen literacy skills, and a great shared activity. Volunteer Assistants work with a librarian to prepare the space, set up the day's activities, and welcome children and parents when they arrive. Depending upon applicant's experience, the volunteer may also help the Librarian with the day's craft project, and songs that inspire participants to get up and go!

This is a popular program and we're looking for just the right individual - someone who enjoys books, values literacy, and can engage with children. Is that you?
