Transportation assistance is an incredibly important service that NCAP offers its clients who are unable, because of physical or financial barriers, to transport themselves to and from medical and dental appointment. These appointments are located in the Boulder, Longmont, Greeley, and Denver metro areas.

Volunteer benefits include:

  • Opportunity to interact one-on-one with a variety of NCAP clients
  • Make an important impact in clients daily lives
  • Provide essential services in your local community
  • Compensated for gas expenditures
  • Utilize a rental car or receive gas vouchers to complete each transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Safe driver and good driving record
  • Knowledge of and openness toward the LGBTQQI community
  • General availability between 7am-3pm Monday through Friday
  • Ability to make time commitments of a minimum of 4 hours
  • Outgoing and friendly personality

NCHN is part of Colorado Health Network, which seeks to equitably meet the evolving needs of people affected by HIV and other health conditions through prevention, care, and advocacy.

Description

Formerly known as the Northern Colorado AIDS Project (NCAP), NCHN has offices in Fort Collins and Greeley that serve the north eastern counties of Colorado. We provide case management services, as well as low-cost testing for HIV, Hepatitis C, Gonorrhea, and Chlamydia. We run a syringe access program, provide free harm reduction and overdose prevention supplies, and host weekly suboxone clinics. We offer safe, free, and anonymous disposal for any needles/syringes
