Treasurer Board member with PLANCTX

We are seeking a Treasurer to serve as a volunteer on the PLANCTX Board of Directors to help make a difference in the lives of those with mental health challenges.
The Treasurer also is the Chair of the Finance Committee. Board meetings are monthly. Committee Meetings are held as needed.

Financial or CPA Experience preferred with the following skills------

*Knowledge- Thorough understanding of financial reports; including monthly income and expense reports, budget reports, and financial audit reports.

*Communications- Able to translate financial information and financial concepts for the board. Present financial reports in conjunction with Executive Director at board meetings, explain and reframe information for board members to understand and interpret and translate the board’s questions, goals or concerns about the financial information or financial situation. Chair Financial Committee and hold meetings to review financial reports, budget, and financial policies/procedures in order to bring forward recommendations and/or motions at Board meetings.

*Planning- Partner with Executive Director to develop a useful budget. Convey budget information to the board. Utilize budget for strategic planning to make sure the budget priorities and decisions reflect the intentions and objectives of the board.

*Strategy- Bring to the position the ability to use annual budgets, audits and financial reports to bring financial leadership to the organization. Find the financial options and decisions needed for longer term goals and initiate discussions to connect finance and mission of organization.
