Do you like planning events, have a large network, and have a passion to help firefighters?
Consider joining our volunteer Council! Fire Family Foundation Council members help plan fundraising events and share the impact of the Foundation with their spheres of influence. The Council meets virtually quarterly with our Board to share ideas and plan events.
Our Council meets on the 4th Monday of the month in January, April, July and October at 5:00 pm via Zoom. Here are the dates for the year:
- Monday, January 23 - Council Meeting - 5:00 P.M.
- Monday, April 24 - Council Meeting - 5:00 P.M.
- Monday, July 24 - Council Meeting - 5:00 P.M.
- Monday, October 23 - Council Meeting - 5:00 P.M.
The Council is concentrating on planning our largest fundraiser, our Fire Boot Classic Poker Tournament and Casino Night on Saturday in the fall. There are also Fire Boot Classic event committee meetings leading up to the event via call or video.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Fire Family Foundation is to provide support and financial assistance to firefighters and their families in times of need.
Description
We fulfill our mission through four core programs:
- Providing financial assistance grants to firefighters and their families
- Awarding college scholarships to the children of active, retired and fallen firefighters
- Providing disaster relief
- Granting funds to fire charities
Firefighters First Credit Union supports the Fire Family Foundation’s overhead costs, so 100% of donations received go directly to support our mission.

- Attend and participate in: 75% of council meetings - 4 annual council meetings which are 1 hour long Committee meetings and related work - 1-2 hours per month Foundation fundraisers and special events - 2 large fundraisers
- Each council member is asked to make a personal donation to the Foundation. Council Members are also responsible to recruit sponsors and invite their connections to attend Foundation events.
