2015 will mark PRS’ 19 th annual Kentucky Derby Benefit. The highly anticipated annual party includes an open bar featuring Mint Juleps, silent and live auctions, pony wagers, delicious hors d'oeuvres and live music. Committee members will assist in event logistics (site set-up, decorations, food vendor solicitation, etc.), securing sponsorships, as well as silent and live auction items, and day-of event support.

Event occurs 1st Saturday in May.
One meeting/month; additional hours as available/needed; December-May

Duties:

- Assist in planning stages and help promote awareness of the event

- Assist in sponsorship recruitment and ticket sales

- Assist in securing auction items

- Attend regular committee meetings (1 meeting/month)

Qualifications:

- Experience in fundraising and event planning, a plus.

- Familiarity and understanding of individuals living with mental illness, mild intellectual disabilities, substance use disorders, autism spectrum disorders or any combination of these.

- Flexibility, creativity, willingness to learn

HopeLink exists so that individuals living with mental illness, substance use disorders, mild intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and anyone who faces life crises can achieve safety, personal wellness, recovery and community integration.

We work alongside our clients at all phases of recovery, teaching them how to live independently. With Centers in Fairfax, Mt. Vernon, VA, and residential sites throughout Northern Virginia, HopeLink offers a comprehensive array of programs including the Recovery Academy, Community Housing, Employment Services and Community Support Services, and CrisisLink, a 24/7 suicide prevention and crisis intervention hotline and textline.
