The Skilled Volunteer Program is a unique opportunity for creative and caring individuals to create tremendous good in their own communities. Skilled Volunteers are professional or skilled amateur photographers, videographers, and writers who give their time to tell Red Basket stories. If you have twenty minutes 1-3 times a month you can make a difference!
When you are a Skilled Volunteer you are on call. If you are able to take an assignment we connect you with one of our projects and together you arrange a time for you to take a photo, shoot a video, or interview for a story. We ask that your final draft is submitted within 14 days. When we publish the story we credit you and link your personal website to each story you help on, the more stories, the more visibility you have!

Red Basket exists to help individuals to achieve financial independence and improve communities through volunteerism.
Description
Red Basket connects people who need help with those who can give it. We work to alleviate financial hardship related to medical conditions, accidents, natural disasters or acts of nature. Bills stemming from medical issues, natural disasters or other accidents can be debilitating and can throw someone’s financial life into a tailspin. Through providing a non-profit crowdfunding platform and harnessing the power of social media, we hope to alleviate the immediate financial crisis so people can focus on recovery. Also featured on our website are community projects benefitting entire neighborhoods or communities that need a little boost to get off the ground.
