Looking for adults who are 55 plus.
Help an at-risk child improve reading, math, or science skills during or after school in Elementary Schools in Ashland, Natick, Newton, Wayland, Framingham and Wellesley.
Also, Volunteers needed in After School Programs and 21 st Century Learning Centers in Framingham for students who need assistance with writing, math and science.
Training and Support provided by site.
Meet with student (s) twice a week (could be once a week) for a school-year long commitment; an interest in helping children. Reading Tutors must attend a SOAR 55 sponsored training. Assignments can begin as late as February of the school year.
Formal teaching experience not necessary, just a desire to see a young child succeed in school.

SOAR 55 is closing as of March 31. The SOAR 55 Nonprofit Management Consultants are exploring opportunites to become its own 501c3 program at this time
