WriteBoston seeks volunteers to tutor at our writing center at Boston International High School, which serves English Language Learners in Dorchester. You will assist high school students with writing assignments, essays, and college applications by providing feedback and helping students understand the writing process. Boston International is unique in that all students are recent immigrants who are English language learners. As a tutor, you have the opportunity to build relationships with students and help them become better writers. Be a role model for local students, and help them gain the skills they need for college and beyond! We stress the importance of gaining confidence, building skills, finding and expressing one's ideas, and developing creativity.
