Are you familiar with diverse communities and interested in keeping youth out of the Juvenile Justice system? Volunteers familiar with Native American, Somali, African American and/or Hispanic cultures and resources are needed for a new project with the County Attorney's Diversion Program. Volunteers help increase client and family understanding and utilization of the diversion program. Volunteers manage a caseload of referred Hennepin County youth, encourage their participation and help alleviate barriers to successfully completing the program thus avoiding getting further into the justice system.
