(VNASH1113b) Put your knitting, crocheting, quilting or sewing skills to good work. Create a lap-size blanket, 4' x 5', using any color and pattern yarn or material. Your handmade blanket will bring warmth, comfort and emotional support to hospice patients. This opportunity is good for all ages and groups. Once completed, send your blanket(s) to: Visiting Nurse Association of Somerset Hills, 200 Mt. Airy Road, Basking Ridge, NJ 07920, Attention: Angela Whitt. Please include your full name and address so we can acknowledge receipt of the blanket(s).

VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
