What are our volunteers saying about being a part of Dayspring?

"I know that women who come to Dayspring Women’s Center can have their lives changed. I want, in my small way, to be a part of that. There are many different ways to volunteer at Dayspring, so I am able to match my skills with a volunteer job that fits. Working together with the staff and the other volunteers at Dayspring, we can make great things happen!"

- Dot Pakan, Office Team Lead and Dayspring Volunteer Oct 2012-Present

"We enjoy going to Dayspring and have found volunteering to be a very rewarding experience. The women have given us much more than we have given them. They come from different backgrounds and under different circumstances and each one has their own story and gifts. Initially, we had no idea of the need for this type of program in our community. It is satisfying to try to help and watch the ladies as they learn new skills, find jobs and places to stay, and move towards independence. In the process we have learned so much, becoming more understanding of homeless women and their situations with a bit of practice, understanding, and compassion."

-Nancy Tittle and Margie Blank, Volunteers Oct 2012-Present
