NORD is searching for a Fund Development team who can work together and serve these communities by assisting us in raising the necessary funds for the NORD expansion in greater Los Angeles.
Work with a group of dedicated volunteers with the focus of writing grants and grant research. Tasks also include raising funds from individuals, corporations, and foundations. All funds raised will serve the community’s needs and the operations of the NORD program expenses. We want committed and motivated volunteers who understand the needs of this very large population and community.
National Organization for Renal Disease (NORD) is a nonprofit, licensed health agency and corporation. They have been in business for the past 15 years serving high risk, adults in greater Los Angeles and surrounding communities. NORD produces health care , screening programs and health education for chronic diseases-kidney, diabetes, high blood pressure and obesity. Work only with licensed health care professionals to serve multicultural adults-Latino, Asian, African American, Native American, Pacific Islander and seniors.
This is a very large and diverse population who are predisposed to developing chronic diseases and related illnesses . We are seeking to expand the NORD programs to serve more clients, more effectively and efficiently with a Screening and diagnostic center, Educational Center with Multimedia and Library and Research Institute.
We want committed and motivated volunteers who understand the needs of this very large population.

Mission Statement
A multicultural health agency that provides awareness, early warning health screenings, health promotion and disease prevention tools,health education and the most current research to under insured ,under served, high- risk populations who are predisposed to develeloping kidney (renal) disease and (esrd), diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure) that leads to kidney failure.
Renal transplantation promotion and educational materials, community outreach and health screenings are an integral part of our programs. The corporation endeavors to change the face of these illnesses through better remedies and therapies in their treatment modalities to serve affected communities in a progressive and comprehensive way.
Our goal is to alleviate some of the health care disparity and provide some access to health screenings and health care information to high- risk multicultural communities.
Description
Provides access to critical and preventive, health care information education,diagnostic screeningss and; the promotion of medical and genetic research along with organ and tissue donation information to families and friends.
Provides tools or access to information. Trains-educates clients in the proper usage of self -monitoring equipment,refers to health care professional for follow up.
Some "Hands on" training to promote participation and enhance learning. Provides resosurces and referral information through our web site. www.stop-esrd.org
