Volunteers are needed to help with special events, Workplace Giving, and heatlh fairs in the Rockville, MD area. Duties range from speaking to employees and fair goers, helping with registration at events, assisting with event silent auctions, and many other opportunities. The responsibilities depend on the type of event, but there is something for everyone!
The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter provides services and support to over 800 patients within the region. These services include assistive technology devices, social worker visits, medical equipment loan closet, transportation grants, respite care grants and many other services. All of the Chapter’s services are provided free of charge to the families through generous donations and fundraising events.
The mission of the ALS Association is to improve the quality of life for People with ALS (PALS) in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia while raising public awareness and support for finding a cure. The DC/MD/VA Chapter is based in Rockville, MD with an office in Richmond, VA.

The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of people living with ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis a.k.a. Lou Gehrig’s Disease) and their families in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The ALS Association National Office and the ALS Association - DC/MD/VA Chapter operate under a shared mission: to support people living with ALS and to leave no stone unturned in the search for a cure. The ALS Association - DC/MD/VA is currently serving almost 700 people living with ALS and their families. These services include assistive technology devices, social worker visits, medical equipment loan closet, transportation grants, and many other services. All of the Chapter's services are provided free of charge to the families.
