This activity gives groups the opportunity to help secure donations of clothing, furniture, appliances, and other household items to be distributed through the Free Store and Furniture and Appliance Store. Groups can also choose to host an event to help secure both material and financial donations to support agency-wide programs. Crisis Assistance Ministry has a very low overhead of 7%. Event ideas include bake sales, dinners, bike rides, fashion shows, birthday or holiday parties, plus more! Organizations conducting a drive or event coordinate collection at their own site.

To provide assistance and advocacy for people in financial crisis, helping them move toward self-sufficiency .
Description
Emergency Financial Assistance- helps prevent evictions, utility disconnections, and hunger.
Free Store/Furniture and Appliance store- provides clothing, household items, and furniture to low- income families at no cost.
Through our mission we are:
addressing the immediate crisis with emergency rent and utility assistance, clothing, household goods, furniture and appliances.
providing counseling, services and support to give families the tools they need to move toward financial stability.
educating the community about the realities of poverty in Mecklenburg County.
