Comfort for America's Uniformed Services (Cause) was established in 2003 as an organization to help wounded, ill, and injured Iraq & Afghanistan veterans.
Our Cause Wellness Program began in 2007 and is currently at three locations across the country. We currently need licensed and insured massage therapists and reflexologists who are willing to volunteer at Fort Belvoir in Virginia or at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center (WRNMMC) in Bethesda, Maryland.
The volunteer commitment is flexible, but we ask for at least one volunteer shift per 6 months.
Belvoir is on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 5pm-8:30pm.
WRNMMC is on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month from 5pm-8:30pm and on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month from 9am-12pm.
Each volunteer must have their valid/current license on file, insurance with Cause listed as a third party insured, and a volunteer agreement. All volunteers must attend an orientation prior to volunteering and agree to obey by the guidelines set forth in the program. Volunteers must be comfortable with working with individuals who have emotional distress, recent surgeries, sutures, and amputations.
If you are available, please contact the Program Director at programs@cause-usa.org with your preferred location and when you can begin volunteering.
Thank you for your service to our wounded warriors!

About Cause - Comfort for America's Uniformed Services
Location:
4201 Wilson Blvd #110-284, Arlington, VA 22033, US
Mission Statement
Cause organizes programs that promote recreation, relaxation and resilience for wounded, ill, and injured members of the U.S. Armed Services and those supporting their recovery.
Description
Cause programs are designed to bring a bit of relaxation and fun into what are, for many, very challenging circumstances. But they also serve a much more serious purpose: that of helping wounded warriors begin the normalization process and the re-entry to home and community as they take their long journey back to health.
