This is a career field mentoring volunteer position, where the volunteer may help in all or 1 of 3 major ways: Presenter on a school's academy career or field of study school staff support on a school's career or field study curriculum student mentoring for the school's academy career or field of study location: Volunteers at a WCSD high school academy site. Volunteer is given a choice of which school's academy career or field of study they wish to support. To help create the vision and meet the practical requirements of study, for a school's academy career or field through involvement at the school with students and staff. Volunteers must commit to a school year and have academy career or field of study experience and relate to high school age students. Description
Washoe County School District is an educational organization for Kindergarten thru 12th grade.
Volunteer Services is responsible for the assessment, development of volunteer programs, marketing/recruiting, screening, orientation/training, placement/coordination, recognition and retention of community volunteers tutors providing academic support for WCSD schools.
