HorsePower for Kids, Inc. offers a farm type setting and is looking for responsible, reliable volunteers who love children and/or animals. SENIOR CITIZENS WELCOME.
Our volunteers are the backbone of HorsePower for Kids. They assist with the daily animal care and/or help with special events.
We have almost 200 animals, everything from horses to ponies, llamas to goats, chickens to parakeets, wolves to cats, capybaras to prairie dogs and many more. All need to be fed,watered and cleaned daily. We also need help with enclosure building or maintenance, field trips, parties and business office needs.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old and be able to work with minimal supervision. Volunteers under the age of 16 may work ONLY with a parent present and only after volunteer application has been approved.
Please be able to volunteer at least one day a week for a couple of hours. We are especially in need of volunteers who can work during the week and those that are a "handyman" or "handywoman".

Description
HorsePower for Kids is a 501(c)3 organization which is home to exotic animals, wild-life animals, horses, petting zoo animals, birds, reptiles, and more. In our farm enviornment you need to be flexible working with animals and children. Our farm is daily highly dependent on volunteer help. We hold annual fundraisers to help support the farm.
