Primary Objective:
Photographing Habitat NYC sites and events
Please note: This opportunity DOES NOT TAKE PLACE AT 111 John St.
Responsibilities:
Photograph Habitat NYC volunteers in action at construction sites and Brush with Kindness sites. Currently, projects are located in Southeastern Queens, Staten Island, Coney Island and other boroughs on a rotating basis. We also have opportunities to photograph events as well as take family photographs of future homeowners.
A photography shift is typically 2-3 hours, plus travel time, which equals approximately half a day. We are looking for photographers interested in volunteering approximate one to three times per month.
Please note that for photographers we do not offer a regular volunteer shift schedule at a set day and time every week or every month, and the number of opportunities may vary throughout the year depending on photography needs. This is a great volunteer opportunity for someone who has a flexible schedule, or is comfortable volunteering on different days when their schedule allows.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have their own camera, ideally a DSLR, and be able to upload photos to Dropbox on the day of the photo shoot.
Candidates must be able to travel to sites using public transportation or their own car.

Opportunities are available on select Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. A majority of volunteer photography shifts are available in the morning. There are a limited number of opportunities available on Sundays and weekday evenings.
**Please note that many of the sites are located in Southeastern Queens, Staten Island, Coney Island and other boroughs, and may take 1-2 hours to get to depending on where the photographer is leaving from.**
