Searching for Leaders & Givers, Be a Youth Mentor!

Y-Scholars youth academic program in Berkeley is looking for mentors to guide and support low-income, first-generation college bound youth from the East Bay. As a mentor you are matched with a student who could benefit from the advice, friendship, and listening ear of trusted adult. Mentors meet with their mentees 2 hours weekly for an 8 month duration engaged in an activity of mutual interest in the local community.

A mentor is a leader and a giver to their community, empowering youth for academic and personal growth. Leading by example, mentors help youth to view their community as a resource rather than an enemy. Start making a difference today, apply to be a mentor at : http://www.yscholars.org/volunteer
