WHAT: In addition to providing seniors with groceries, we also give them bags of much needed paper goods. We need local organized groups (companies, churches, associations, etc.) to come and assemble these goodie bags. We distribute over 2,000 of these bags every month, so we need a steady supply ready to go! This is an excellent opportunity for work groups. NOTE: We cannot take individual volunteers, families or informal groups for this opportunity. WHEN: Typically, the best days and times for a group to come are Mondays and Tuesdays between 8:00am - 4:00pm, or Thursday afternoons. WHERE: Our pantry, 3640 N. 5 th ST. #140, North Las Vegas WHAT TIME: We recommend 2 hour shifts during our operating hours. GROUP SIZE: We can accommodate groups up to 20 people. WHAT ELSE: This is an excellent team building opportunity. It is LOTS of fun, and your members will have a great time while helping to fill an important community need.

Helping Hands of Vegas Valley, a 501c3 (2000), with a volunteer Board of Directors is working to provide access to basic services for the senior population in the Las Vegas Valley area at no cost to them. We believe that every senior deserves to live a happy and healthy life, and we strive to make that a reality for all of our clients. Our dedicated team of volunteers works tirelessly to ensure that seniors have access to the resources they need to live fulfilling lives. Serving Seniors 60 and Greater in Our Community Since 2000
Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and greater in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.Helping Hands of Vegas Valley (HHOVV) is a dedicated non-profit organization that offers five essential programs to low-income seniors aged 60 and above in the Las Vegas community, completely free of charge. Each month, we proudly serve over 3,500 seniors who rely on our comprehensive programs and services to support and enhance their quality of life.
Our programs include:
A well-stocked pantry providing nutritious food items
Respite care for caregivers, offering much-needed breaks
Reliable transportation services to medical appointments and other essential destinations
Minor home repair assistance to ensure safe and comfortable living conditions
Nutrition programs designed to promote healthy eating habits and overall well-being
All types of volunteers are welcome: Groups, families, individuals, organizations. One time commitments to long term commitments!
