Did you know that 1 in 8 Americans living with HIV are unaware that they are infected? Help PCAF provide free and anonymous testing to the community! Our testing team needs volunteers to help facilitate testing at our walk-in clinic on Thursdays (6pm-8pm). We are looking for a volunteer who can commit to the 1st Thursday of each month. Volunteers will help clients fill out testing paperwork and manage the comunity space while staff administer tests.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the testing process
- Help clients fill out paperwork accurately
- Answer basic questions about HIV/AIDS and the testing process
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 or older
- Comfortable with topics of sexuality, sexual orientation and sexually transmitted diseases
Commitment: Testing times are Thursdays from 6pm-8pm. We are looking for a volunteer who can commit to the 1st Thursday of each month.
Training: All PCAF volunteers must pass a criminal history background check and schedule an orientation meeting with the Development Coordinator.
Benefits: Volunteers will gain a basic understanding of HIV/AIDS and the testing process; experience working directly with clients and satisfaction from ensuring community members access to free and confidential HIV testing.

Description
PCAF is a non-profit organization established in 1987 to respond to the needs of persons living with HIV/AIDS. In 2012 PCAF expanded its services by establishing a second office in Olympia, Washington. Today, PCAF serves Pierce, Thurston, and Lewis Counties.
PCAF is dedicated to assisting persons living with HIV/AIDS to meet their needs for food, housing, healthcare and personal support. PCAF provides personalized case management services to people living with HIV/AIDS and extensive outreach/education/prevention programming to help stop the spread of HIV and combat HIV related stigma.
