Do you have a couple of hours a week to spend one of them reading one of Chelsea’s Castle Land stories to an elementary school’s classroom of students in your community?

We are looking for adults to go into the schools and read. We are focused on third graders, unless a school’s principal or teachers wishes to include other grades, but all between 1st and 5th grades.

If you are comfortable reading out loud to children, then join our cause to introduce children to stories that may help them to overcome everyday challenges. You should know that the teachers may choose to stay in the classroom while you are there.

Illiteracy remains a serious problem in America. You can help students to nurture a passion for reading, as well as help to them to expand their reading comprehension. This can help make a difference in their success in school as well as in life.

Choose to join our team of READERS and make a difference in your community!

Mission Statement

The Chelsea Foundation's mission is to provide children with motivational tools that encourage literacy, stimulate creative thinking, and reward effort. These tools are designed to help our children become successful students who lead more purposeful and productive lives. We believe that education, training, and proper guidance provide a strong foundation that helps a child build a good future. Chelsea holds the notion that children (particularly those under twelve) when given the right tools and opportunity, will consequently do well in the classroom and in life. Chelsea has established this foundation to aid children in: Discovering who they are. Learning that the secrets to success lies within. Expressing their individuality.
