Mission Statement
Project Read Mission Statement: To help empower people in achieving their literacy goals. Goals: To provide learner-centered literacy opportunities that support adult learners and their families in their major life roles as community members, workers, and family members. We train community volunteers to provide literacy tutoring for adults so that they improve their reading and writing, which has a profound effect on their ability to get and keep a job, to help their children succeed in school, and to take a proactive role in managing their health and financial well-being.
