Every day, the St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin County receives calls from locals seeking assistance to pay rent to avoid eviction, purchase groceries, and pay gas and electric bills amongst other needs. Volunteers respond to client calls and messages, document client needs and contact information, and forward vital client information to local conferences that meet with the client and connect them to services.
If you are passionate about volunteerism and serving the homeless and working poor in your community, this could the a great volunteer opportunity for you! We are currently in need of a volunteer on Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:30.

Description
The St. Vincent de Paul Society is located in San Rafael, California, and we provide services to low-income people in Marin County. In 1981, we opened our Free Dining Room, which currently serves 600 meals per day to our hungry neighbors. We are open 365 days of the year and welcome volunteers to help us prepare and serve meals to Marin's hungry and homeless citizens.
