Help adults learn everyday digital life skills, like e-mail and job search. Serve low income individuals, senior citizens and the disabled by assisting them to take advantage of all of the resources that the Internet has to offer. Structured classes are offered four days a week along with one-on-one informal tutoring at our locations in Kansas and Missouri Areas covered include: Email use Search engine use Health/medical info search Government services search Job applications Social networking Video watch/download Buying online Banking online Classes/certification online Because this knowledge is not helpful unless people can use it, we provide those who complete two classes with an inexpensive refurbished PCs, in most cases for just $50.00 for qualified low income individuals. Additionally, if they do not already have Internet in their homes, we provide them with a list of free Wi-Fi hotspots throughout the city where they can get online. Here’s a little more information about who we are reaching through our free digital life skills classes: 25% have never used a computer 75% are over 50 years old 80% are minorities, predominantly African American 75% have incomes of under $20,000 a year 90% purchased a computer from us after their taking free classes 2/3 of participants in the free classes are women 1/2 of women 60 have a child under 18 living with them We welcome volunteers to assist us in conducting these classes.

Connecting for Good is a nonprofit organization has been bridging the Digital Divide since 2011 with wireless networks, low cost refurbished PCs and digital life skills training.
Our core values are:
Internet connectivity equals opportunity . It is an absolute necessity in order to fully participate as a productive citizen in a digital society.
Education is the number one thing that lifts people from poverty . In a digital society it is impossible to pursue a quality education without access to the Internet.
- In-home Internet access is as essential as any modern utility; like phone service, electricity and running water.
