(NPWIC514d) The North Porch Women & Infants' Centers need volunteers to transport supplies from Dover or a church in the north NJ area to Newark (no more than one hour's drive) once a month. Newark Center hours are Mon, Wed, Fri from 10-2. Dover Center hours are Mon-Thurs from 10-1. The Centers provide emergency seven-day supplies of formula, baby food, diapers, clothing, bed linens and other items for needy mothers and their infants. Volunteers must use their own car. Minimum age of 18.

VMC provides volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups of all ages through our affiliation with over 500 not-for-profits, schools and government entities. VMC goes beyond matching to educating volunteers. Professional development is offered to volunteer managers, agency boards, and individuals wishing to serve on a not-for-profit board of directors. Business partnerships enable us to assist them in planning and executing volunteer projects. In addition, outreach and senior services are offered through friendly visiting and telephone reassurance programs.
