Overview of Role: Northern Illinois Food Bank is in need of volunteer(s) to assist with various office tasks.
Responsibilities: This volunteer(s) would be responsible for helping with mailings, filing, sorting, and other administrative duties.
Requirements: This volunteer(s) should be flexible in regard to projects which change daily and should be able to work well in an office setting. It would be beneficial for this volunteer to have experience with the using basic Microsoft Office programs, be able to navigate the internet, and have experience filing. However this is not required. Note some of the projects that need to be done are repetitive and monotonous.

- Northwest Center: 6315 North 2nd Street Loves Park, IL 61111
Time Commitment and Duration: Varies by project. Some projects are one time projects and others require a volunteer who can come on a regular basis.

Training Required: As needed based on the project taken on by the volunteer.
Supervised By: The staff contact will vary based on the project taken on by the volunteer

Did you know 1 in 8 of our neighbors in northern Illinois face hunger? 1 in 5 kids in northern Illinois face hunger struggles as well. Northern Illinois Food Bank acquires donated food from retailers, local and national manufacturers, farmers, individuals, businesses, the federal government and also purchases additional products. Northern Illinois Food Bank then delivers the food to our network partners for distribution to hungry neighbors. We currently work with 900 network partners in 13 counties to help feed those in need. Volunteer, donate, and get involved in our feeding hungry neighbors today!
