The "Diploma-see Initiative" is being held at several middle schools throughout Hillsborough County with a focus on the Title 1 program schools. The Title 1 program is the largest program of federal funding in education and is designed to assist schools in improving student achievement, staff development, and parent involvement.
Volunteers will be placed at schools throughout the county; we will confirm your start and end time when you are assigned to your respective school. We will make every effort to place you at a school with which you may be currently affiliated; however, we reserve the right to place you at the school with the greatest need. We are interested in bilingual volunteers. During this half-day commitment, volunteers will present the material in teams.

Mission Statement
Junior Achievement inspires and prepares young people to succeed in a global economy.
Description
Junior Achievement uses hands-on experiences to help young people understand the economics of life. In partnership with business and educators, Junior Achievement brings the real world to students, opening their minds to their potential. After all, kids are our future.
Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay serves 12 counties including the entire Tampa Bay Area. Junior Achievement is a volunteer driven, non-profit organization. This year more than 3,100 business professionals, parents, retirees and college students will enter our schools to teach Junior Achievement programs. These volunteers use their personal experiences to make the Junior Achievement curricula practical and realistic. Providing children with positive adult role models, who illustrate ways to build self-confidence, develop skills and find avenues of success in our free enterprise system, is a hallmark of Junior Achievement.
