ORGANIZATION: Vikara Village

As the Treasurer you would assist in managing the finances for the organization. You will help in developing budgets, allocation of funds and developing a long-term financial plan for the organization. As a small, emerging nonprofit, this is an integral, hands-on volunteer role in the organization.

We are looking for individuals who understand and are committed to Vikara Village’s mission and core values to join our working Board as we grow and move our mission forward. We are helping individuals to develop a healthy sense of self, community and belonging! Vikara Village uses the communal spirit of yoga and the arts to empower individuals to reach their full potential. We run three programs for youth and adults.

Vikara Village uses the communal spirit of yoga and the arts to empower individuals to reach their full potential. Our primary focus is working with middle and high school aged youth with developing skills for:

  • goal-setting
  • problem-solving
  • building positive relationships within their community
  • increasing self-esteem
  • increasing community involvement

Our programs, combine yoga exploration and the arts with goal-setting, self-esteem building and relaxation techniques to help youth develop more positive relationships and healthy decision-making skills.
