Are you a college student looking for a way to make a big impact? Neighborhood House Community Center is searching for mentors who will encourage and guide local kids ages 7-18 as they strengthen their academics, develop social skills, and build self-esteem.
As a mentor, you'd spend 1 hour twice a week with your mentee. Together you'd do homework, go on field trips, hang out, and be friends. Mentoring is such a gratifying volunteer opportunity that allows you to see your impact on a child's life first hand. The kids love it. The mentors love it. It's a great time!
We are now accepting applications for Spring 2017. Mentoring will begin in mid-September, or as soon as we can match mentors with a mentee.
To apply to be a mentor, please visit neighborhoodhousemadison.org/programs.php and download the "Mentor Application." After filling it out, you can email the application to mentoring.nhcc@gmail.com, snail mail it, or drop it off at 29 S. Mills St.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email us at mentoring.nhcc@gmail.com or call us at 608-255-5337.
