Halos of Hope relies on the kindness of crafty volunteers to create knit, crocheted or sewn hats designed for cancer patients experiencing the hair-loss side effects of chemotherapy or radiation. Hats donated to our charity are sent to over 450 cancer centers across the country, that largely serve the underinsured or uninsured. Not crafty? Every $10 donated to Halos of Hope enables us to send another 31 hats.

Mission Statement
We are a not-for-profit organization committed to providing in-need cancer centers with free hand-crafted hats donated by caring volunteers.
Description
Halos of Hope is an all-volunteer organization coordinating the donations of those who knit, crochet or sew hats for cancer patients to reach cancer centers, hospitals and oncology offices that need them for patients. We simply ask that the hats be given away free to the patient in need. While no cancer center is ever turned away, Halos of Hope focuses our donation outreach largely to those centers which are serving the uninsured and underinsured.
As an all-volunteer organization, over 90% of our funding is used to cover our monthly shipping and handling expense of approximately 3,000 hats to over 450 centers nationally. A nominal percentage of our budget is used for marketing and operational purposes.
Halos of Hope has received significant support from the fiber industry by yarn manufacturers, suppliers, distributors and publishers.
