Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event and has raised over four billion dollars since it began in 1985. Relay For Life consists of ceremonies that recognize cancer survivors, caregivers, and those we’ve lost to the disease. At Relay For Life you will often find live music, games, food, and family friendly activities...it’s a great community event!
We are currently preparing for the 2015 Relay For Life of The Woodlands and want to make this event the best yet! We are seeking dedicated committee members to help plan, organize, and execute the event in our community. If you are passionate about fighting back against cancer and are willing to donate your time and talents to the American Cancer Society please contact Megan Chancellor.

Description
Relay For Life is the American Cancer Society’s signature fundraising event and it represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, that those who face cancer will be supported, and that one day cancer will be eliminated. The event is designed as a community engagement event and provides everyone in The Woodlands with an opportunity to participate in the fight against cancer.
Relay For Life happens all over the United States and in 19 countries around the globe making this the largest non-profit fundraising event in the world. Individuals from neighborhoods, businesses, or families gather together and form teams. The teams raise money throughout the year and have on-site fundraising the night of the event, giving Relay a fair-type environment. The Woodlands Relay will be held the first weekend of April 2014.
