Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey is looking for volunteers in Somerset County to lead troops, assist with troops, and pitch in at the area level, help with events and much more. Parents often get involved in Girl Scouting with their daughters, but Girl Scout volunteers come from all walks of life and backgrounds: college students, busy professionals, and young-at-heart retirees. If you only have an hour a month to volunteer or 3-4 hours a weeks, we have a volunteer position that is just right for you! Free training is available. Girl Scouts Heart of New Jersey serves 18,000 girls and 8,000 adults throughout Essex, Hudson, Hunterdon, Somerset, Union, southern Warren, and parts of Middlesex counties. Girl Scouting is open to all girls ages 5-17 regardless of race, creed, nationality or socio-economic status.
At Girl Scouts, we strive to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is a very rewarding experience. You get to help provide unforgettable and life-changing experiences to girls while teaching them a variety of life skills that will help them be successful in the future.
