In order to safely serve the needs of community members during the COVID-19 pandemic, food boxes are prepared and then supplied to pantry partners for distribution.
Our volunteer shifts are (except for official holidays and also subject to modification as needs change):
Wednesday and Friday, 9:00 AM AM to 12:00 noon and 1:00 M to 4:00 PM
Volunteers can directly check the date and time that they would like to help on the Doodle link:
https://doodle.com/poll/iaw6dtxeqz8a7sgm
Notice that days are posted about a week at a time on the Doodle Poll. If you don’t see the date you
want to volunteer for, check again a few days later. Once volunteers have selected their time slot(s), we
send a confirmation prior to the date(s) selected via email with times and procedures for volunteering
at our packing site. Select shifts at least 12 hours ahead so we have enough time to send you a confirmation.
The confirmation email provides the complete address and also explains the social distancing and health and safety guidelines being followed. The site is not open to the public and we advise our volunteers to:
Please take your temperature prior to arriving at our volunteer site; if it shows even a low-grade
fever, please stay at home.
If you are sick - respiratory symptoms or fever - please stay home & get better!
If you are elderly, already ill, or have a compromised immune system - please, stay home & take care of yourself!
You’ll need to be on your feet for long periods. Tasks are repetitive and fast-paced. If you think you won’t be able to cope, don’t put yourself at risk of injury. Minors who plan to participate need to be able to keep up too.
When you arrive to volunteer, you will be asked to wash your hands, wear a mask and gloves when handling food, and avoid personal contact.
Volunteer groups will be limited in size and activities will be planned to maintain personal space between volunteers.
For groups, or if you have further questions, please contact Grace at 570-826-0510 X219 or Gnava@ceoeoplehelpingpeople.org.
