Would your club, youth group, scout troop, or other group like to create ornaments and decorate a Christmas tree for our residents?
Every year we decorate eight full-sized trees in our nursing facility in a particular theme. We currently have some our 2014 trees adopted, but we have room for a few more volunteer groups.
This year, our theme is GINGERBREAD. We'd like each tree to be decorated top to bottom in your own creative interpretation of the theme.
- Trees and white lights provided.
- There are some limitations on decorations due to fire codes for nursing facilities, but most types of homemade decorations will be fine. Contact Amy Shade for details.
- Volunteers will be sent a flyer with specific guidelines and a list of craft ideas to help you come up with ornaments.
- All trees need to be decorated between Monday, December 1st, and Sunday, December 7th. We will work with your group to schedule a time for you to come out and work your magic!

Greenewood Manor has a long history of providing excellent care to our residents, who currently range in age from 46-106. We provide skilled nursing care and rehab stays for residents with a wide variety of diagnosis and abilities.
Description
Greenewood Manor is a non-profit skilled nursing facility. We offer skilled and intermediate 24 hour nursing care, as well as supportive living and respite care options for individuals seeking assistance on either a short term or long term basis. Greenewood Manor is owned and operated by the Greene County Board of Commissioners.
All potential volunteers must submit a Volunteer Application, a signed waiver form, pass a background check, and complete a Volunteer Orientation Session/ Interview prior to working with our residents. Volunteers under the age of 18 will be required to present a certified copy of their birth certificate at the time of their interview. Groups coming in to provide one-time entertainment may have different requirements- contact Amy Shade for details.
