The Friends of Mistletoe State Park organization is hosting a Kids' Fishing Rodeo on Saturday, September 27 from 9:00-lunch at Mistletoe State Park in Appling, GA. Volunteers are needed to greet kids/families, assist with registration, distribute t-shirts, sell birdhouses, grill hotdogs, and enjoy the day! Our mission is simple. We partner with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, local community and business leaders and community volunteers to promote, support, improve and preserve Mistletoe State Park.
Description
Friends of Mistletoe State Park, a chapter of Friends of Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites, is a group of local volunteers who work to support Mistletoe State Park in numerous ways. Our volunteers often help out with special events, improvement projects and maintenance tasks at the park. Through partnerships with local business and community leaders, we help fund site improvements, maintenance needs and interpretive programming.
